Description
The Legend of the Grand Canyon is a story based on an old Indian folktale, which has been handed down by word of mouth for hundreds of years. It is the poignant story of the young Indian chief, Comanche, who searches for the lost Spirit Trail. Together with Shadow One who is sent to him by the Great Spirit, the young chief wanders through forests and mountains. Finally, he reaches his destination only to be taught an important lesson. Together the author and illustrator have conveyed with imaginative simplicity the living legend of how The Grand Canyon came to be.
